signs of angerIn order that someone should successfully cope with the anger, it is essential to recognize it’s physical signs. This seems easy because signs are usually obvious. However, when a person is often angry or tense, the anger that person feels very often is harder to be felt at the physical level.

Physical signs of anger appear as a consequence of impulsive thoughts that cause so-called “fight” or “flight response”.  Fight or flight response aims at protection of body which is in danger.  When a body receives a signal of being in danger, the adrenal glands intensively secrete adrenaline and cortisol which lead to variety of physical changes in body.

It is important to mention that not all the signs described further in the text appear as signs of anger. For example, headache, as well as ringing in ears, doesn’t have to appear as a consequence of anger. However, certain anger symptoms, as faster heartbeat or tightening of the body, do always appear as anger symptoms.

  • Faster heartbeat
  • Stomach ache or stomach cramps
  • Tightening of the body
  • Sweating
  • Redness on face
  • Body shaking
  • Hand shaking
  • Clenched jaw
  • Teeth grinding
  • Headache
  • Ringing in ears
  • Feeling of burning or cold in a body
